Learning Intention: The children will be able to write a ersonal, descriptive paragraph about someone.

Success Criteria: The children will be able to:
· Write a grammatically correct paragraph.
· Give a physical description by use of name, age, hobby and relationship to another family member.
· Use adjectives correctly.

Previous Experience: Introductions, Hobbies, Families.
Talking about someone in 3rd Person – Sie, Er.
This is a consolidation lesson to practise their newly learnt language for writing.

Curriculum for Excellence Experiences and Outcomes: LIT 2-23a; Throughout the writing process, I can check that my writing makes sense and meets its purpose.
MLAN 2-14a, ‘I use my knowledge about language and success criteria to help me, and I can check that I have written familiar words and phrases accurately.

1. Discuss simple introduction, family and hobby sentences.
2. Children discuss in pairs the sentences written on board. Teacher comes round and asks for feedback.
3. Children choose character card from bag and begin writing paragraph.
4. Once finished paragraph children can draw picture for their character.
